Let's Keep On Hopping!

This Week's Question:

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

I've never actually thought about this, but I tend to read more when I'm in a bad mood, than when I'm happy. Unless I'm already hopelessly indulged in a book that is. Reading is an excellent way to jump of out a crappy  mood and into another world. You can take your mind off the ills of reality and fall into the land of fantasy/romance/thriller/suspense ect... There's no mood that can't be improved by a book!

Hopping through. I agree that reading is a great way to snap out of a bad mood. I like going for old comfort reads.

My moods will sometimes reflect what I read. If I'm mad or depressed I like to read BDB, if I'm happy I like to read things that make me laugh like LOTU or Night Huntress

For me I find my mood changes the genre that I want to read. I go through blocks where I only read one genre, then I randomly change to another one. But I don't find myself reading certain books because of the way I feel. Although I do find that the way I feel has an impact on how much I enjoy the book! So if I'm angry or sad I try and take a break from reading till I get over it :)

Interesting answer! WHAT I read does change based on my mood, but no matter what, I'm ALWAYS in the mood to read. That never changes :0)
